Terms of Service

By using the PixShot website or API, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Service Description

PixShot provides a screenshot and OG image generation API. You submit URLs via API requests, and we return rendered screenshots or generated images.

2. Accounts and API Keys

You must provide a valid email address to obtain an API key. You are responsible for keeping your API key secure. Do not share your API key publicly. We may revoke keys that are compromised or abused.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to screenshot illegal content or content you do not have the right to access
• Attempt to bypass rate limits or usage quotas
• Use the service to perform attacks against third-party websites (DDoS, vulnerability scanning, etc.)
• Submit URLs designed to exploit our infrastructure (SSRF attacks, internal network probing)
• Resell API access without prior written agreement

4. Plans and Billing

Free accounts receive 500 screenshots per month. Paid plans are billed monthly through Creem.io, our Merchant of Record. Prices are listed at pixshot.dev/#pricing and may change with 30 days notice.

Creem.io handles all billing, tax compliance, and refund processing. Refund requests should be directed to [email protected].

5. Usage Limits

Each plan has a monthly screenshot quota and per-minute rate limit. Requests that exceed your quota will be rejected with a 429 status code. Unused quota does not roll over.

6. Intellectual Property

Screenshots you generate through the API are yours. We claim no ownership over the output. The PixShot name, logo, and website content are our property.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee any specific uptime. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for downtime.

8. Limitation of Liability

PixShot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your API key will be deactivated and cached data will be deleted.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email if possible.
