PixShot ("we", "us", "our") operates the pixshot.dev website and the PixShot API. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account data: When you sign up, we collect your email address. We generate an API key tied to your account.
Usage data: We log API request counts per key for billing and rate limiting. We do not store the URLs you submit or the screenshots we generate beyond a short-lived cache (up to 1 hour).
Analytics data: We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics on our website (page views, button clicks). PostHog may set cookies for this purpose.
Payment data: Payments are processed by Creem.io, our Merchant of Record. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details. Creem handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
Account data (email, API key) is retained as long as your account is active. Screenshot cache is automatically deleted after 1 hour. Usage counters reset monthly. If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days.
We use cookies only for analytics (PostHog). We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to third parties.
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete your account, or opt out of analytics by blocking cookies in your browser. Contact us at [email protected] for any privacy-related requests.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. API keys are stored hashed. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
